The Iris Collective
What is the Iris Collective?
The Iris Collective is a team of two translators who have been fascinated by different languages and cultures from a young age.
Inquisitive and passionate, we decided to embark on our translation careers in order to build bridges between two different universes that would otherwise not have the chance to meet.
Faithful messengers, like Iris to the ancient Greek gods, we stand ready to spread our wings and convey the messages entrusted to us, without mistakes or misinterpretations.
We’ve teamed up to ensure that each client’s journey through the world of translation is as smooth as possible. They say two heads are better than one, and when it comes to translation and proofreading we firmly believe that having two pairs of eyes helps guarantee that the end result is twice as good.
If you would like to communicate on a global level, then don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. It would be our pleasure to pass on your message!
The Irises
Isabelle Meschi
Isabelle set out on her translation adventure in 2011, after having obtained her degree in Literary, Technical and Scientific Translation in Milan back in 2009. Born in France to Italian parents, she has spent time living in both Milan, the city of her heritage, and London, the city of her heart.
She specialises in children’s literature, tourism, cosmetics, cinema and marketing.
She translates from English and Italian into French, and is a member of the French Literary Translators’ Association (ATLF) and the Society of French Literati (SGDL).
A lover of all languages, Isabelle has also been learning Russian for the past 18 months. And when she’s not working at her laptop, she adores watching the birds and hedgehogs in her garden and trying to communicate with them (who said language was limited only to humans?).
Naïma Bautista Rim
Naïma has been translating from English, Italian and Spanish into French for over 13 years, and is a member of the Association of Literary Translators of France (ATLF).
Her areas of specialisation are tourism, culture, human resources, marketing, fashion and cosmetics, food and drink, and sport.
Always keen to explore what life and nature have to offer, Naïma’s many passions include languages, literature, travel, different cultures, art, food, history and architecture.
Having lived in Mexico and spent several months in Tahiti, she never needs much persuasion to throw on her rucksack or pack a suitcase to go and satisfy her thirst for knowledge. And whenever she’s not sitting on a train, bus, plane, ferry or bicycle, she’s journeying through her books and translations.
Translation is more than just a job for her—it’s the excitement of a new discovery in every sentence, and the passion she takes with her as she explores this world we live in.
