More about me

Hello and welcome to my website devoted to translation and other subjects close to my heart. I hope you find what you’re looking for!

How did I decide to become a translator? To be honest, my path was already mapped out for me because I have been passionate about languages for as long as I can remember. I was born in France to Italian parents, which meant that every summer holiday we would head to Italy to visit family and friends.

Italian, melodious and musical, has therefore always been a part of my life. Next came English, and with it there was love at first sight, a sense of magic, and a feeling that it was meant to be. Despite my young age, I was fascinated by this gentle language and I grew to adore the UK without even ever having visited it. I had found the two languages that would later enable me to earn a living from my passion. Because for me, translation is first and foremost a passion rather than a job.

A passion that has pushed me to spend time living in Milan and London so that I could immerse myself in the culture of my two favourite countries. These experiences benefited me enormously: living abroad is an opportunity to open your eyes to the world.

I love my chosen career because words allow me to travel, to learn, and to share knowledge with others (especially children, for whom I have translated numerous books).

As you will have guessed by now, I’m here to offer my passion for language so that you are able to convey your message to your audience. I think it’s only fitting to end my introduction with a quote from Anatole France that particularly resonates with me as a translator:

“The finest words in the world are only vain sounds if you cannot understand them.”

My skills at your service

With my Masters in Literary, Technical and Scientific Translation fresh in hand from the IULM University of Milan, I decided pretty much straight away to begin freelancing so that I could enjoy the life of a translator.

I am a member of the ATLF (French Association for Literary Translators) and I translate from English and Italian into French. Here are my areas of expertise:

Publishing

Publishing

I am fortunate to work regularly with the publisher Éditions Nathan, and have translated a number of books aimed at children, an updated list of which you will find here. It is always a pleasure to translate these textbooks and help impart knowledge to the next generation of adults. I also translate novels, essays, and short stories.

Cinema

Cinema

Having worked in the cinema industry for a number of years, I have had the opportunity to translate TV series, a film, DVD bonus features, a script, and a number of articles about the small screen and big screen. You can therefore trust me to handle your articles or scripts.

Tourism

Tourism

What can be more fulfilling than letting words whisk you away to discover new horizons? I regularly translate material for the tourism industry, and therefore would be perfectly comfortable working on your website, brochure, guide, newsletter, or any other document you need translated into French.

Cosmetics

Cosmetics

I have a wealth of experience in the cosmetics sector, and I would be delighted to translate your product sheet, website, brochure, catalogue, leaflet, or business presentation.

Is your area of business not listed in my specialist fields? I also translate other, more technical, documents, such as instruction manuals, contracts, or general conditions of sale. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your requirements.

Finally, I also offer proofreading services (for French documents) and revision services (for translations from English and Italian into French).
